What to Expect During VYVGART Infusion Therapy

  • You may wait in the waiting area for an hour or more before being called into the infusion area.
  • Be greetedA medical professional will check you in and ask for your ID and insurance card.
  • Be preparedYou can expect to be guided through the process by a trained medical professional.
  • Be comfortableYou'll be seated or lying down in a comfortable position. You can bring a sweater if you get cold, or a portable fan if you get hot.
  • Receive medicationA nurse will insert a needle or catheter into your arm or hand and connect it to an IV bag. The medication will drip into your bloodstream through the IV.
  • Be monitoredYour medical provider will monitor your vitals, such as your heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels.

Injection site reactionsRash, redness, itching, bruising, pain, and hives

common side effects

  • headache (including migraine)
  • paresthesias (feelings of numbness or pins and needles)
  • muscle pain.
  • respiratory tract infection*
  • urinary tract infection (UTI)*
