About SAPHNELO Infusion Therapy

Saphnelo is a brand-name intravenous (IV) infusion prescribed for systemic lupus erythematosus. Saphnelo contains the active drug anifrolumab-fnia. Saphnelo is FDA-approved to treat moderate to severe systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in adults.

What to Expect During SAPHNELO Infusion Therapy

Your healthcare provider will give you SAPHNELO through a needle placed in a vein (IV or intravenous infusion). The infusion takes about 30 minutes to give you the full dose of SAPHNELO. SAPHNELO is usually given 1 time every 4 weeks.

What are the serious side effects of Saphnelo?

Breathing problems or wheezing.
Racing heart.
Fever or general ill feeling.
Swollen lymph nodes.
Swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue, or throat.
Trouble swallowing or throat tightness.
Itching, skin rash, or pale red bumps on the skin called hives.
Nausea or vomiting.
