About SAPHNELO® Infusion Therapy
SAPHNELO® is a brand-name intravenous (IV) infusion prescribed for systemic lupus erythematosus. Saphnelo contains the active drug anifrolumab-fnia. Saphnelo is FDA-approved to treat moderate to severe systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in adults.

What to Expect During SAPHENLO® Infusion Therapy
Your healthcare provider will give you SAPHENLO® through a needle placed in a vein (IV or intravenous infusion). The infusion takes about 30 minutes to give you the full dose of SAPHENLO®. SAPHENLO® is usually given 1 time every 4 weeks.
SAPHNELO Side Effects
What are the serious side effects of Saphnelo?
- Breathing problems or wheezing.
- Racing heart.
- Fever or general ill feeling.
- Swollen lymph nodes.
- Swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue, or throat.
- Trouble swallowing or throat tightness.
- Itching, skin rash, or pale red bumps on the skin called hives.
- Nausea or vomiting.
