What to Expect During INJECTAFER Infusion Therapy
During Injectafer infusion therapy, you can expect to:
- Receive an infusion-a healthcare professional will administer Injectafer directly into your bloodstream through a veinvia an IV catheter. The infusion can take about 15 minutes, or about 7.5 minutes if given by a slow IV push.
- You will be monitored-your healthcare provider will monitor you for about 30 minutes after the infusion for signs of an allergic reaction.
INJECTAFER Side Effects
Some potential side effects of Injectafer include:
- Allergic reactions
- Nausea
- Temporary hypertension
- Flushing
- Injection site reactions, such as skin color changes, fluid leaking, or pain
