Living with Cold Agglutinin Disease

  1. Avoiding the cold: including environments, food and drink.
  2. Wearing warm clothing: especially in extremities
  3. Ensuring IV fluids are warmed prior to infusions
  4. Consider an anti-inflammatory diet: olive oil, green leafy vegetables, nuts, fatty fish and berries can help mitigate inflammation.
  5. Staying well-hydrated: staying adequately hydrated is essential to combat symptoms such as fatigue.
